NOT FOR PROFIT
by HANNAH NOWLAN
Fundraising print in support of Tay’s Vision.
To raise awareness and support research for rare and chronic illness, Hannah Nowlan has created an open-edition Fine Art print. Entitled ‘Blue butterfly’, the artwork is a symbol of the afterlife.
This print is a not-for-profit project and all profits raised will be donated to the following charities, nominated by Tay’s Vision: The Ehlers-Danlos Society, Rare Voices Australia and Genetic Support Network of Victoria.
Here is a snap shot of why Taysvision has chosen these particular foundations. This is where any profit from Taysvision fundraising will be directed as we strongly believe Tays underlying condition that ultimately took her life was Vascular related EDS.
'The Ehlers-Danlos Society'. They are an international organisation that is making amazing progress in awareness, research and education into EDS and also benefits those with other connective tissue disorders. The Ehlers-Danlos Society seeks world-wide awareness—and a better quality of life for all who suffer from these conditions. From genetic research and international medical symposia, to patient support and learning conferences, every gift, no matter the size, helps to advance our cause.

‘Rare Voices Australia’RVA is Australia’s national alliance advocating for those who live with a rare disease. Your donation helps RVA provide a strong common voice to promote health policy and a healthcare system that works for those with rare diseases.
RVA have a key role in developing and implementing the first ever Australian Government Department of Health ‘National Strategic Action Plan for Rare Diseases.’ This is the first nationally coordinated effort to address rare diseases in Australia. Due to the great complexity, significant unmet need and critical urgency associated with rare diseases, systemic reform is urgently needed. The vision is to achieve the best possible health and wellbeing outcomes for Australians living with a rare disease.
‘Genetic Support Network of Victoria’ assists people with genetic conditions and those who support them, including support groups, health professionals, non-health professionals, families, and the broader community.

You will not only be supporting Taysvision, you will also be helping fund much needed research into conditions that are currently so poorly understood. Perhaps together we can help prevent more deaths.....
It is with hope that we can bring forward many other projects in the future to raise much needed funds for much needed research and awareness. This is just the beginning and how fitting that our first fundraiser be of the blue butterfly that has had such an imact on us all.
This page is where I will post all future fundraising projects.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Hannah Nowlan for not only gifting me with the original painting of Blue Butterfly but for taking the time out of her busy schedule of painting a new collection of artworks for an upcoming exhibition to help us with this extraordinary offer of her time and talent and a massive shout out to her partner Tim, our nephew who has generously given his time to help her with this very special project.
Much love to you both X
